In 2000 Lerch Construction added a partial basement and a new, two story wing to this Palo Alto home originally designed by Birge Clark. New mechanical systems and radiant heat make the house comfortable, while the use of traditional methods and materials, including reclaimed steel windows and cast copies of original hardware, make the addition indistinguishable from the original.
